Prayer Blitz
for
“Congress and the President!”

 

• On Monday, June 13, 2011 (Pentecost / Whit Monday), at 12 noon, I will hold a prayer blitz for Congress and the President of the United States on Capitol Hill (Room # 1629 Longworth House Office Building Capitol Hill).
  
  
• “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”  (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
  
  
• This will be a non-partisan hour of prayer on Capitol Hill.  We will call upon Almighty God to create in Washington DC a new spirit of respect  and cooperation among our leaders in difficult decision-making times.  “Our political leaders cannot do their best for us until people of faith earnestly pray for them.”
  
  
• Pastor, please come, or send a minister, or a person of prayer from your church to join us.  Email me at cureton@biblestimulus.com with the name(s) of the person(s) coming, along with their email or telephone number.  Information will be forwarded to them, and may God bless you!
  
  
• If you cannont join us June 13th, please lift up prayers in concert with us on this day and during your worship services the weekend of June 10-12! And let's be in prayer for our nation's leaders throughout the year of 2011. Let's lift up ongoing prayers for them. "How good and pleasant it is when kindred dwell together in harmony.... It is where the Lord promised to bless the people with life forevermore." (Psalm 133:1, 3)
